WrestleMania XL Night 2 Results: Cody Rhodes beats Roman Reigns to finish the story

Cody Rhodes has finished the story as he pinned Roman Reigns to end his historic title reign in a chaotic main event that saw John Cena and The Undertaker get involved.

Rhodes would come close to winning the title last year but outside interference would prevent him from doing so. But on Night 2 of WrestleMania XL, Rhodes would complete the dream of his father, the late great Dusty Rhodes.

WrestleMania Night 1 had seen Rhodes get pinned by The Rock in the tag team main event, which meant that the bout with Reigns would be contested under Bloodline rules. The action would quickly spill outside the ring where weapons were brought into play. Both men would fight all around the arena for a bit before the action returned to the square circle.

Both men would exchange incredible blows with Reigns even hitting Rhodes with a Cross Rhodes. Rhodes would also hit a spear on Reigns and seemed to be set to win the title when Jimmy Uso interfered.

However, Jey Uso came to the rescue and took out his brother with a spear off the ramp. Just when Cody looked set to win again, Solo Sikoa would hit him with the Samoan Spike, similar to WrestleMania last year.

Despite the best efforts of Solo, wouldn’t give up. That’s when John Cena came to save Cody and he took out Solo and Reigns with a couple of AAs.

The Rock would then make his way to confront Cena in an iconic moment, rekindling their WrestleMania rivalry. The Rock would hit the Rock Bottom. The Shield’s music would hit and Rollins couldn’t make the save for Rhodes.

The Undertaker would then come in to lay out The Rock as the field cleared to leave just Rhodes and Reigns.

What were the other results on Night 2 of WrestleMania XL?
The night started with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre with CM Punk at the commentary table. McIntyre got off the blocks with a Claymore early with Rollins feeling the effects of Night 1. Despite Rollins putting in his best, McIntyre would beat him and win the title. However, his celebrations were short-lived as a run-in with Punk would lead him laying vulnerable to a MITB cash-in by Damian Priest.

The Judgement Day member would pin McIntyre to win the title. Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits would defeat AOP and Karrion Kross in a fun match while LA Knight would get the better of AJ Styles.

The US Championship Triple Threat between Logan Paul, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton saw iShowspeed get involved and get an RKO for his troubles. Paul would retain the title in the end.

The co-main event was the WWE Women’s Championship match with Bayley winning the title to a thunderous ovation from the crowd at Philadelphia.
