“The friendship between the United States and India is among the most consequential in the world. And it’s stronger, closer, and more dynamic than ever,” Joe Biden tweeted.
In response to Biden’s tweet, Prime Minister Modi affirmed the power of the US-India friendship, stating, “I fully agree with you, @POTUS @JoeBiden! Friendship between our countries is a force of global good. It will make a planet better and more sustainable.”

President Biden hosted PM Modi for a three-day official state visit from June 25 to 27, which featured a grand welcome ceremony on the South Lawns of the White House, a State Dinner, and a round table with technology industry leaders, entrepreneurs, officials, and CEOs.
The White House, in its weekly email update, emphasized that Modi’s state visit reaffirmed the deep and close partnership between the US and India. The visit highlighted their shared commitment to a free, open, prosperous, and secure Indo-Pacific region, as well as their determination to enhance their strategic technology partnership in areas such as defense, clean energy, and space.
The leaders also discussed expanding educational exchanges, fostering people-to-people ties, and collaborating on various challenges, including climate change, workforce development, and health security.
