Trinamool leader Anubrata Mondal’s daughter arrested by ED in cattle smuggling case

Trinamool Congress leader Anubrata Mondal’s daughter, Sukanya Mondal, has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate after being questioned today in an alleged cattle smuggling case.

The ED summoned Sukanya Mondal over huge unaccounted properties and bank accounts directly related to her in connection with the case.

Mondal, who is a teacher by profession at the state government-run primary school, has huge properties registered under her name.

Earlier, too, she was summoned by the central probe agency, but she didn’t appear for the same.

The ED arrested the TMC chief of Birbhum district, Anubrata Mondal, on November 17, 2022, to question him about his involvement in the cattle smuggling case. He was in judicial custody after being arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which had picked him up for questioning in the same cattle smuggling case.
