Tiger Shroff, Rashmika Mandanna’s film Screw Dheela is not shelved. Shoot to begin in 2023

In July this year, filmmaker Karan Johar teased an announcement about his new film on social media.

It was screw Dheela starring Tiger Shroff and Rashmika Mandanna. However, much to fans’ dismay, the Shashank Khaitan-helmed film was reported to have been shelved. Sources close to Dharma Productions have now refuted the rumours. They confirmed that the film has only been delayed and not shelved. They also stated that the production company shares an incredible bond with Tiger, and will soon kickstart another project.

SCREW DHEELA IS NOT SHELVED!
Recently, there were reports that Screw Dheela had run into major budget issues. The Karan Johar-backed drama was rumoured to be shelved as the cost of the big-scale entertainer reached the Rs 150-crore mark. A source clarified, “Dharma Productions and Tiger Shroff share an incredible relationship. Apart from Screw Dheela, Tiger Shroff to collaborate with Dharma Productions for another massive action film. Screw Dheela is delayed due to date issues, shoot to commence later next year,” according to ANI.

The source further mentioned that the makers decided that it wouldn’t be wise to go on floors at the moment. They also said that the film is not shelved and the makers hope to visit the film again, once things are conducive.

TIGER SHROFF’S CAREER
Tiger Shroff made his Bollywood debut with Heropanti opposite Kriti Sanon. After his successful film debut, the actor featured in many Hindi films, including Baaghi, Munna Michael, War, Student Of The Year 2 and more. Next, Tiger will be seen in Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl. The actor has reunited with Kriti Sanon for the movie after Heropanti. He also has Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan in the pipeline. Tiger was last seen in Heropanti 2 which was a dud at the box office.

ON THE WORK FRONT FOR RASHMIKA MANDANNA
Rashmika Mandanna’s Bollywood debut film, Mission Majnu, with Sidharth Malhotra is ready for release. The makers will announce the release date soon. She also has Amitabh Bachchan’s Goodbye and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal in the pipeline in Hindi. The actress has resumed shooting for Pushpa: The Rule with Allu Arjun from August 22. Currently, Rashmika is busy with the shooting of Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu. She is also in talks for more films.
