Team Uddhav leader dies from gunshot wounds after being shot during Facebook live

A Shiv Sena (UBT) leader was shot while he doing a Facebook livestream in Mumbai’s Dahisar area on Thursday. He later died from gunshot wounds.

According to preliminary information, Abhishek Ghosalkar, son of Shivsena (UBT) leader Vinod Ghosalkar and a former corporator, was doing a Facebook livestream with one Mauris Noronha, also known as Mauris Bhai.

Mauris Noronha then leaves the livestream and later shot thrice at Ghosalkar. After this, Mauris Bhai shot himself dead, police said.

According to preliminary information, Mauris Noronha was a resident of Borivali West and claimed to be a social worker who had aspirations to contest elections. He had shared multiple pictures with politicians on his social media handles.

According to police, Abhishek Ghosalkar and Mauris Noronha had offices adjacent to each other. Locals told India Today TV that there was a tussle between them to dominate local politics.

“Gunda raj in Maharashtra. Mauris Noronha, who shot Abhishek Ghosalkar, was at Varsha was bungalow four days ago. The Chief Minister met him. Morrish was invited to join the Shinde Sena. Fadnavis is a complete failure as Home Minister. Resign!” Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut in a post on X.

Recently, BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad shot Shiv Sena leader Mahesh Gaikwad in Maharashtra’s Ulhasnagar inside the cabin of a senior cop at the Hill Line police station. The two politicians and their supporters had gathered to file a complaint over a long-standing land dispute. Shiv Sena MLA Rahul Patil also got injured in the incident.
