Donald Trump’s re-election as the 47th US President for a second, non-consecutive term had sparked a meltdown from several people on social media a few days ago.

However, some women have come up with a unique form of protest to express their anguish and disappointment over the President-elect’s win.

Many women have now vowed to go on a sex strike following Trump’s victory in an election amid fears over its impact on abortion rights and protections for women, according to a report by The Telegraph. This unusual protest was inspired by the Korean feminist ‘4B movement’ that vows to withhold sex from men to redefine the gender power balance.

The ‘4B’ movement originated in South Korea in 2019 – where women took a new approach towards fighting patriarchy by “swearing off men” and refusing to be part of heterosexual relationships. Its proponents promote the four ‘no’s’ – no sex (bisekseu), no dating (biyeonae), no marriage (bihon) and no having children with men (bichulsan) – for the next four years while Trump is in office.

What Are Women In US Saying?
The recently concluded US presidential election revealed a gender divide in the electorate, with 55 per cent of men turning out for Trump and 53 per cent of women voting for Harris. However, Trump’s victory has caused women to seek other female friends for comfort and “exercise sovereignty” over their own bodies.

“Ladies, I’m being so fr when I say this, it’s time to close off your wombs to males. this election proves now more than ever that they hate us & hate us proudly. do not reward them,” said a woman on the X platform.

“Reminder that the 4B movement, and the separatist movement in general, isn’t just about avoiding men—it’s also about supporting and investing in women. Seek out relationships with women, women-owned businesses, women-made media, etc; surround yourself with women and our culture,” another individual said.

Other users have taken to the platform to encourage women to “take it a step further” and “collectively get hysterectomies,” while some said they are “breaking up with their Republican boyfriends” in the wake of the election, according to New York Post
