Sanjeeda Shaikh on ‘Fighter’s’ limited screen time: I’m a very secure actor

Actor Sanjeeda Shaikh, who recently received a lot of love from her fans for her performance.

In Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi, called herself a secure woman, both personally and professionally, in a conversation with India Today. Sanjeeda, who is a renowned name in the television industry, has also managed to grab attention for her role in Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter, despite a limited screen time. In a recent interview with us, Sanjeeda also opened up about her personal life and said that being a single mother is her strength.

Speaking about her limited screen time, Sanjeeda said that the time frame doesn’t really matter: “I’m a very secure actor or, you can also say, I’m a secure individual. The duration of the role surely matters, but making an impact in a limited time frame is also important, and I consider myself blessed to do that with Fighter. Even with Heeramandi, I wasn’t sure in the start what the duration of my role is going to be, but, as I started shooting, Sanjay sir was an excellent mentor and the final product is for everyone to watch.”

Sanjeeda was also in the limelight for quite sometime when she and her ex-husband Aamir Ali announced their separation. The couple have a four-year-old daughter who Sanjeeda considers to be her biggest life blessing. Speaking of how she has navigated through a tough time in her life, Sanjeeda said, “God has plans for everyone, and he has planned something for me too. As per his plan, everything is going great. I’m enjoying this journey and I have accepted myself even if I might be beautifully flawed. Nobody is perfect.”

Sanjeeda also spoke about her daughter and said, “My child is my biggest strength. I think this whole conversation of whether being a single mother or not doesn’t matter as a mother is a mother.”

“The responsibility, their duties or the love and affection I would have for my child is going to be the same whether single or not,” the actor concluded.
