‘Merry Christmas’ box office Day 5: Katrina-Vijay Sethupathi’s film holds steady

Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Merry Christmas’ is holding strong at the box office in the Indian and international market.

Going by the initial trade reports, the film is holding steady at the box office. In five days, the film has earned around Rs 12 crore net in India. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, ‘Merry Christmas’ is having a steady run at the box office.

‘MERRY CHRISTMAS’ HOLDS STEADY AT THE BOX OFFICE
‘Merry Christmas’ released in theatres on January 12 amid huge anticipation. The film was simultaneously shot in Hindi and Tamil.

The Sriram Raghavan directorial venture had a slow start at the box office and has been having a steady run in theatres. On Day 5, January 16, the film managed to earn Rs 1.15 net in India. Though the film saw a slight drop in collection, it is expected to continue its run.

The five-day total tally now stands at Rs 12.53 crore net in India. The Hindi version of the film recorded an overall occupancy of 10.25 per cent in India on January 16.

The film features Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina Kaif, Sanjay Kapoor and Radhika Apte amongst others. It is bankrolled by Ramesh Taurani, Sanjay Routray, Jaya Taurani and Kewal Garg.
