Malayalam actor Kundara Johny died on Tuesday (October 17) at a private hospital in Kollam.
He was 71 years old. According to reports, Johny suffered a cardiac arrest, after which he was admitted to a hospital. His last film was ‘Meppadiyan’, which released in 2022. His fans have been taking to social media to offer condolences.

Kundara Johny began his career in Malayalam cinema with several uncredited roles. He made his debut in his 20s in 1979. His roles in ‘Agniparvatham’ and ‘Nithya Vasantham’, ‘Rajavinte Makan’ and ‘Aavanazhi’ won him recognition.
However, it was his antagonist roles that catapulted him to fame. He played the role of Nambiar in ‘Nadodikkattu’ still remains iconic. He was also part of ‘Oru CBI Diary Kurippu’, ‘Kireedam’, ‘Chenkol’ and ‘Spadikam’, among others.
