Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 to hit theatres on May 20 after RRR seals March 25

On February 2, the makers of Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 announced the new release date of the film.

Anees Bazmee’s directorial venture that was earlier slated to hit theatres on March 25, will now be released on May 20, 2022. This came after Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s RRR sealed March 25. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also stars Tabu and Kiara Advani. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a horror-comedy.

BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2 TO HIT THEATRES ON MAY 20
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to twitter to announce the new release date of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. “’BHOOL BHULAIYAA 2′ SHIFTS TO A NEW DATE… #BhoolBhulaiyaa2 – which was slated for release on 25 March 2022 – will now arrive in *cinemas* on a new date: 20 May 2022… Stars #KartikAaryan, #KiaraAdvani and #Tabu… NEW RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT… (sic),” tweeted Taran Adarsh.

On January 1, RRR makers had announced that the film’s release was getting postponed. Then, they gave two tentative dates and now finally, RRR will hit the cinemas on March 25, in multiple languages. The official announcement was made on Twitter today, January 31. The caption read, “#RRRonMarch25th, 2022… FINALISED! #RRRMovie (sic).”

RRR is set in the 1920s and follows the formative years of freedom fighters, Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharamaraju, played by Jr NTR and Ram Charan, respectively. SS Rajamouli’s directorial venture, the film features an ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody Shriya Saran and Samuthirakani.

Amar Upadhyay also joined the cast of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and will be seen playing a pivotal role opposite Tabu. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film is the sequel to the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja.
