This morning, before the funeral procession, the Supreme Leader of Iran, Ali Khamenei, led the prayer during the ceremony at the capital’s university, in front of the coffins of the other victims of the accident. Numerous heads of state and officials arrived in Tehran to participate in the commemoration ceremony for the victims which began in the afternoon in the Tehran Summit Hall.

Representatives of numerous countries – including Russia and India – participate in the farewell ceremony for President Raisi and the other seven victims of Sunday’s plane crash in Tehran’s Summit Hall. In addition to representatives of Russia and India, there are the presences of Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Tunisia, Tajikistan, Iraq, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Lebanon, IRNA reported. The ceremony was conducted by interim President Mohammad Mokhber and Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri.
