India at Olympics, Day 8 schedule: Manu Bhaker eyes 3rd medal, boxer Nishant glory

Manu Bhaker is on the cusp of a massive record. No Indian has won three medals in a single edition of the Olympics.

The youngster has a chance to win her third medal in Paris when she takes part in the final of the 25m women’s Pistol event. She also won the silver medals in the 10m Pistol events (individual and team).

Nishant Dev also has a chance to confirm a medal when he takes part in the quarterfinal of the men’s 71kg event in boxing. Anant Jeet Singh Naruka, Maheshwari Chauhan and Raiza Dhillon also have a chance to finish the day with medals as they take part in the skeet events in shooting.

Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar will be in action in the third round of the men’s Individual Stroke Play in golf. In archery, Bhajan Kaur and Deepika Kumar will be in action in the quarterfinals as India look for their maiden Olympic medal in the sport. Nethra Kumaran and Vishnu Saravanan will represent India in sailing.
