Arch-rivals England and Australia are all set to lock horns on September 11, Wednesday with the start of the T20I series.
Both teams had met in the T20 World Cup group stages this year, where Australia were able to beat England convincingly. England will be without their usual captain Jos Buttler, who is out with a calf injury.
Instead of Buttler, Phil Salt will be tasked with leading the team against an upbeat Aussies side, who thrashed Scotland 3-0 recently away from home. Different players stepped up for Australia during the series against Scotland and they will be hoping for a similar result against their arch-rivals. England will be witnessing a transition period, with the likes of Jonny Bairstow, Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan being dropped. Moeen went on to retire from international cricket recently.
