A terror encounter has broken out in Jammu-Kashmir’s Kathua after three terrorists were spotted by the security forces, sources said.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, teams from the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir police, the Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) launched a massive search operation in the forest area near the international border at Hiranagar in Kathua district.
The security forces intercepted a heavily armed group of terrorists and a fierce gunbattle ensued. The operation may go on for long as it is a densely forested area, the sources added.
