‘Dunki’ fever in theatres: SRK’s fans dance to dhol beats, celebrate with crackers

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ released in theatres today, December 21, amid much fanfare.

While fans flocked theatres early in the morning to catch King Khan on the big screen, several videos and pictures from celebrations all across cinema halls have gone viral. Starting from fireworks to fans dancing to dhol beats and more, the enthusiasm among the fans was unbeatable.

‘DUNKI’ RELEASE CELEBRATIONS
After the massive success of ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’, Shah Rukh Khan fans are excited to watch ‘Dunki’ in theatres. The film, which marks SRK’s collaboration with Rajkumar Hirani, also features Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Dia Mirza, and Satish Shah in supporting roles. The first show of the movie was screened in Mumbai’s iconic Gaiety Galaxy and the videos of celebrations inside the theatre are just heartwarming to watch. Fans brought party poppers and confetti bombs to the first-day show of the film. Many were seen wearing Santa Claus caps danced to the song ‘Lutt Putt Gaya’ inside the theatres to celebrate SRK’s movie.

Other than this, a big cut-out of Shah Rukh Khan was also set up at Gaiety Galaxy where fans celebrated the superstar by bursting firecrackers and throwing confetti on the same.

Looking at the response that the film is receiving from the fans, it is expected to open with huge numbers at the box office just like ‘Jawan’ and ‘Pathaan’.
