A new video has surfaced in the suicide case of the Delhi-based bakery owner in which Puneet Khurana is seen speaking to his father-in-law regarding the transfer of Rs 2 crore for a house.

The house is registered in the name of Puneet’s wife, Manika Pahwa. Khurana, the co-owner of a bakery named ‘For God’s Cake’, was found dead at his house in Delhi’s Model Town on Tuesday. His family members have alleged that harassment by his wife and in-laws led Khurana to take the extreme step. The couple were undergoing divorce proceedings.

In the video, Khurana’s father-in-law, Jagdish Pahwa, is seen discussing the transfer of Rs 2 crore for the house. However, Khurana’s family claimed that Pahwa later reneged on his promise. The family claimed that they had an audio clip where Pahwa is heard denying his earlier statement regarding the monetary transaction. The video was dated October 12, 2023.

Khurana’s family alleged that he was under immense pressure due to such incidents. They further claimed that Jagdish Pahwa often resorted to threats after going back on his promises. The businessman’s family said they were providing multiple such videos and other evidence to the police to support their claims. Khurana also recorded a one-minute video before taking his life, detailing the alleged harassment.

Another purported audio clip of a conversation between the couple has also gone viral in which they can be heard having a heated dispute over money and their co-owned bakery. In the conversation, the woman can be heard abusing the man. Puneet and Manika got married in 2016, and the bakery was a major bone of contention between them in their divorce negotiations. They also co-owned a café named ‘Woodbox Café’ but it shut down a couple of years ago.
