Despite an injury to her arm, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has taken Cannes 2024 by storm.

After captivating her fans in a black and white corseted gown on the second day of the film festival, the Guru actor made heads turn in yet another custom creation on Friday.

The elaborate outfit — by Falguni Shane Peacock — “centered around the luminous beauty of moonstone, enhanced by intricate silver and azure embroidery, adorned with sequinned tassels,” shared the designer duo.

Further revealing the reasons behind the colour scheme of the outfit and how it resonates with their brand’s aesthetic, they informed that the “celestial and ethereal nature of moonstone resonates with the timeless elegance of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.”

That’s not all. The azure in the outfit was a subtle homage to the colour of her eyes, “which became the talk of the town during her rise to stardom. The blueish-green tint of her eyes has inspired us to incorporate azure into the gown, adding a touch of her exquisite gaze to the ensemble,” they added in a note.

Completing the outfit — which featured a sweeping trail — are multiple sequinned tassels and fringes, elevating its glamour quotient to the hilt. “The addition of a bow serves to crown the ensemble, infusing it with elegance befitting a personality as iconic as Aishwarya Rai Bachchan,” they informed.

Allowing the exquisite outfit to do all the talking, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan opted for a pair of statement earrings and basic makeup with a focus on the eyes. Her colour-streaked hair was blow-dried to perfection, and her bedazzling smile added the perfect finishing touches. She was also seen wearing a plaster cast in her right hand.
