Actor Salman Khan abruptly halted the shoot of Bigg Boss 18 upon receiving the heartbreaking news of NCP leader Baba Siddique’s death.

The actor, who was shooting for the show, rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where Siddique was undergoing treatment. The 66-year-old leader was attacked on Saturday, October 12, night outside his MLA son Zeeshan Siddiqui’s office in Mumbai’s Bandra East, and succumbed to injuries while under treatment.

Salman, who had a close relationship with Baba Siddique, arrived at Lilavati Hospital around 12:30 am. The actor has been a regular attendee at Siddique’s renowned annual Iftar parties, which often gather Bollywood’s biggest stars.

Baba Siddique, renowned for his political legacy and social influence, played a pivotal role in mending one of Bollywood’s most infamous feuds. In 2013, he brought Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan together after their five-year estrangement, which began following an altercation at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. His Iftar gathering that year marked the reconciliation of the two superstars.

Meanwhile, the two arrested accused–Karnail Singh from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh–claimed during interrogation that they belonged to the gang of Lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster currently in jail, Crime Branch sources said.
