Kohli and Anushka Sharma tied the knot in 2017. The star couple celebrated the third birthday of Vamika, their daughter, on 11 January 2024.
Notably, Kohli had prioritised family in 2021 as the then captain had returned home after the first of a 4-Test series against Australiaa to be with his wife during the birth of their first child.
The Indian star had initially withdrawn from the first two Tests against England, where India had lost the first match in Hyderabad and won the second one in Vizag. However, the Indian star would then go on to withdraw from the whole series, citing personal reasons and the BCCI backing his decision.
AB de Villiers had initially revealed on his YouTube channel that Kohli and Anushka were expecting their second child. However, a few days later, the former South African skipper would perform a U-turn and said that he didn’t know why Kohli had taken a break.
