Alia Bhatt finally shares pics from the moment Ranbir Kapoor proposed to her

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expecting their first child, and she shared the news with her fans on Instagram on Monday.

Soon after the news broke the internet, their family members and friends, colleagues as well as fans congratulated them. Hours later, Alia Bhatt changed her Instagram DP to her “favourite picture” of her and Ranbir.

If one looks closer, the picture is actually from the moment Ranbir proposed to Alia during one of their vacations. Ranbir is seen holding a ring box in his hand as he embraces Alia, who has a huge smile on her face.

The picture was also shared by Ranbir’ mother Neetu Kapoor who wished the couple on Instagram. She wrote along with the picture, “God Bless,” along with two heart emoticons. Alia even reacted in the comments section, “My favourite picture,” along with several heart emoticons.

Alia shared the news of her expecting a child by sharing a picture from an ultrasound session along with Ranbir and a picture of a lion and lioness with a cub on Instagram. “Our baby…. coming soon,” she captioned the photo.

Her mom Soni Razdan, sister-in-law Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and mother-in-law Neetu Kapoor congratulated them on Instagram with separate posts. Her father Mahesh Bhatt said in an interview to ETimes, “My baby is going to have a baby! I am so happy for Ranbir and Alia.

May our tribe increase. And now I have to prepare for the most important role of my life: The role of a grandfather. This is going to be a grand debut.”

The couple, who got married in an intimate ceremony in April this year, is also set to share screen space for the first time in Brahmastra: Part One Shiva, scheduled to be released on September 9.
