Actor Nayanthara, in the past, was accused of getting cosmetic surgery done on her face.
In a recent interview, she rejected the rumours and said that she has never altered her face. Further, she also explained why and how her face has looked different over the years. Nayanthara is one of the leading actors in South India, who recently made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan and director Atlee’s Jawan.
In an interaction with Hautterfly, Nayanthara explained that she loves working on her eyebrows before every red carpet event. She said, “I love doing my brows. I take the time to perfect it, because it’s the real game changer. I’ve had different brow faces over the years. Maybe that’s why people think my face is changing, and I keep looking different.”
She addressed rumours of getting plastic surgery and said, “Maybe that’s why a lot of people think that I’ve done something to my face. But, that’s not true. On record, not true. It’s not that it’s wrong, but for me, it has just been diet. So there’s been a lot of weight fluctuation and my cheeks go in and out. You can pinch me, burn me, and you’ll know there’s no plastic in here.”
She made her debut in 2003 with the Malayalam film, Manassinakkare. Over the years, Nayanthara has been a part of many superhit films across languages. There were several rumours about her getting plastic surgery to enhance her facial features and liposuction to look lean in the past.
However, she has never addressed the rumours until now.
On the work front, Nayanthara, along with her husband Vignesh Shivan, have launched a skincare brand and invested in a lot of homegrown brands.
While she is awaiting the release of two Tamil films, Test and Mannangatti Since 1960. She is presently shooting for an untitled film with Kavin and Dear Students with Nivin Pauly.
Vignesh Shivan is presently shooting for his upcoming film, Love Insurance Kompany, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Krithi Shetty and SJ Suryah.
