Gaudiya Mission UK Celebrates 150th Birth Anniversary Of Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami Prabhupada In Harrow, London

On August 31st, the Gaudiya mission UK hosted a grand event in Harrow, London, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sri Srimad Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami Prabhupada.

A revered spiritual leader, Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami Prabhupad envisioned spreading the teachings of Lord Krishna across the western world — a dream that continues to inspire generations.

The event attracted nearly a thousand attendees from various walks of life, including distinguished guests such as Salim Chowdhury, the Mayor of Harrow, and Visaka Dasi, the Temple President of Bhaktivedanta Manor.

The celebration featured a rich program of activities, including enlightening lectures by esteemed Vaishnava gurus, soul-stirring bhajans and kirtans by dedicated devotees, and captivating dance drama by young children.

A highlight of the event was a remarkable play portraying the life of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati and his pioneering efforts to send his disciples to the western world to spread Vaishnavism.
