Pakistan board offers free entry to students for second Test against Bangladesh

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced free entry for students to the second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh to inspire.

The younger generation to embrace the excitement of cricket. The second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from August 30 to September 3, 2024. The PCB’s initiative is designed to offer students a first-hand experience of the thrilling environment of a live cricket match.

To take advantage of this offer, students are required to wear their school uniforms and present a valid educational institution ID card at the gate. Those who meet these criteria will be granted access to VIP enclosures, including the Imran Khan and Javed Miandad enclosures, subject to seat availability. In addition, students can also access premium enclosures such as Miran Baksh, Shoaib Akhtar, Sohail Tanvir, and Yasir Arafat enclosures.

This gesture follows a similar initiative implemented during the first Test match, where fans were offered free entry on the fourth and fifth days, enhancing the enthusiasm and turnout. Bangladesh currently leads the two-match Test series 1-0, having claimed a dominant 10-wicket victory in the first match. The series forms part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

While the free entry offer is exclusively for students, tickets for other fans are available for purchase. These can be bought online through the PCB’s official ticketing partner at PCB.tcs.com.pk or from designated physical ticket booths at Aviation Ground, Rawal Road, and selected TCS express centers. Premium enclosure tickets are priced at PKR 200, whereas tickets for the VIP enclosures are set at PKR 500 on weekdays and PKR 600 on weekends.

For fans seeking a more luxurious experience, the Gallery pass, which includes lunch and tea, is available for PKR 2,800. The Platinum Box, offering a premium view and refreshments, is priced at PKR 12,500. A full hospitality box, ideal for larger groups, can be reserved for PKR 200,000.

To facilitate easy access to the stadium, the PCB will also provide a free shuttle bus service on matchdays. Two routes will be operational: one from Aviation Ground, Rawal Road, to the Allama Iqbal Park Entrance Gate, and another from Government Satellite Town College for Boys, 6th Road, to the same entrance gate. This service aims to ease the logistical challenges for fans traveling to the stadium, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable matchday experience.
