EKTA KAPOOR HONOURED WITH INTERNATIONAL EMMY DIRECTORATE AWARD
Renowned producer and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor was presented the award for her significant contribution to the world of arts and entertainment. After winning the Emmys, Ekta spoke to India Today exclusively from New York.

Ahead of her big moment, IndiaToday.in spoke to the ‘woman of the hour’ in New York about her feelings, her journey, what keeps her going, and more.

Ekta reacted to this grand feat and said, “I think art and writing and storytelling have a far bigger impact than we gave it credit. Now to be honoured by this global platform on a global stage, I just feel a little overwhelmed and humbled. This honour has made me feel a little responsible. I feel this voice that I have been given, I must use it for the benefit of others and to tell stories to people who are not being heard.”

She added, “There is no journey without obstacles or challenges. Your resilience should enable you to navigate through them and move forward. It’s okay to take a moment to realign and rework your approach. However, from that point on, you have to keep moving forward. Standing still and feeling sorry for yourself will accomplish nothing; the only way from the bottom is up.”
