Ireland have announced a strong 15-member squad for their upcoming T20I series against India which will begin on August 18.
The Indian cricket team is all set to embark on a tour of Ireland in August 2023, where they will play three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The series is scheduled to commence on August 18 at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin, which will also host the remaining matches of the series that concludes on August 23.
The Indian squad for this tour has been announced and it marks the return of Jasprit Bumrah to competitive cricket after a hiatus due to a back fracture. Bumrah, who last played for the national side in September 2022, will be leading the Indian team as captain for the first time in a limited-overs series. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been named as his deputy. The squad also sees the return of Karnataka seamer Prasidh Krishna, who had been out of action since August 2022 due to a lumbar stress fracture.
India also gave a chance for Rinku Singh to be a part of the squad as well.
