Days after Vijayapriya Nithyananda said fugitive rape-accused Nithyananda was being persecuted for reviving the ancient traditions of Hinduism, she issued a clarification and called for action against “anti-Hindu” elements.
During a discussion organised by the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Vijayapriya, as the “permanent ambassador of the United States of Kailasa” on February 24, said Nithyananda is being persecuted and even banned from his birth country.
Vijayapriya Nithyananda said her statement at the United Nations was being “misinterpreted, willfully manipulated, and distorted by certain anti-Hindu sections of the media”.
In her clarification, Vijayapriya said, “I would like to clarify that I stated that SPH Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam is persecuted in his birthplace by certain anti-Hindu elements. The United States of KAILASA holds India in high regard and respects India as its Gurupeedam.”
“Our concern is solely directed towards those anti-Hindu elements. We urge the Indian government to take action against such elements who continue to incite violence against the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism and Kailasa,” she said.
Rape-accused Nithyananda fled India and emerged in 2020 with the claim of having established his own country — the United States of Kailasa. He calls Kailasa the “Ancient Enlightened Hindu Civilizational Nation”.
No one is sure where Nithyananda’s Kailasa is. It is said that the fugitive pontiff bought an island off Ecuador in South America. Not many visuals of the country of Kailasa have emerged.
But Kailasa has a virtual presence. Nithyananda is present on social media platforms and the government of Kailasa has a website.
Vijayapriya, who introduced herself at the UN meeting as the “permanent ambassador of the United States of Kailasa”, claims that Kailasa has opened its embassies and NGOs in several countries of the world.
However, the United Nations has said the input provided by the organisation of the ‘self-proclaimed’ figure will not be taken into consideration. India has not yet responded to the matter.
