IMF maintains India’s growth rate forecast to be 6.1 percent in FY 2023-24

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has released the global economy growth forecast for the year 2023-24.

The IMF has retained India’s growth rate forecast of 6.1 per cent in the financial year 2023-24. The IMF (International Monetary Fund) has predicted an economic growth of 6.1 percent for India in 2023. According to the IMF, ‘India will continue to be the fastest growing economy.

After India, another Asian country has been estimated to have the second largest economy. Whose growth rate has been estimated to be 5.2%. According to the IMF, 84% of countries are expected to have lower inflation in 2023 than in 2022. Inflation is at its peak amid low growth. India and China will contribute half of the global economic growth this year.
