Akshay Kumar, Govinda, and Paresh Rawal’s Bhagam Bhag has been creating a buzz on social media.
With the sequel in the works, fans are excited to witness the comedy back on the screen after 18 years. While fans are speculating about whether the trio will return in the sequel, Govinda recently shared an update, revealing that no one has approached him for the film.
While talking to Mid-Day, Govinda, who was amused by the developments, revealed that he hasn’t been contacted for Bhagam Bhag 2. He stated, “Nobody has approached me for Bhagam Bhag 2, or sat down for a discussion. There are stories of me doing not just Bhagam Bhag 2, but many other sequels, including Partner.”
On being asked whether he would like to be a part of it, the actor shared that his decision will depend on various factors. “I know sequels are popular today, but one should not go by beliefs, suggestions and popularity. If I do a project, I must discuss it in its entirety—from the remuneration to the script, my character and the director,” he said.,
Earlier, in the middle of all the speculations, the producers confirmed that they are making Bhagam Bhag 2 and the film is currently in its scripting stage.
The rights for the sequel were recently acquired from Shemaroo Entertainment by Sarita Ashwin Varde of Roaring River Productions, who has simultaneously also been working on the film’s script. She will be producing the film along with Shemaroo.
As reported by the film’s team, Sarita agreed that they have taken a lot of time to design the sequel, but it’s finally coming out. “Because a special film like Bhagam Bhag deserves a sequel that’s just as special when the time was right, we decided to take the plunge. ,” she said.
The producers further ensured that Bhagam Bhag 2 is going to be ‘madder, crazier and funnier’. The film is expected to go on the floor in mid-2025.
