Rachel Gupta, a 20-year-old from Punjab, became the first Indian to clinch the prestigious Miss Grand International 2024 title on October 25, standing out among contestants from over 70 countries.

The historic win also brought Gupta the Grand Pageants Choice Award, placing her alongside Miss Universe 2000, Lara Dutta, as one of the most crowned Indian beauty queens on the global stage.

The organisers shared a celebratory post on Instagram and wrote: “Congratulations to the winner Rachel Gupta on achieving the crown of dreams! She embodies beauty, elegance, and true talent. May her journey to success shine even brighter with every step she takes.”

Gupta shared a post on Instagram to express deep gratitude: “We did it! We won the first Golden Crown in Indian history. Thank you so much to everyone who believed in me! I promise, I will not let you down. I vow to be a Queen whose reign you’ll remember forever.”

Gupta’s journey to Miss Grand International began after securing the Miss Grand India title in August. This wasn’t her first time on the international pageant circuit; she previously won the title of “Miss Super Talent of the World” in 2022.

With over a million followers on Instagram, Rachel Gupta is no stranger to the spotlight. She will now use her influence as a global ambassador for Miss Grand International, advocating for peace and stability worldwide.
