An Indian-origin man was stabbed to death in London on Friday, two days after a 27-year-old woman from Hyderabad.

Who was studying in the United Kingdom, was stabbed to death by a Brazilian man at her accommodation in London.

A 38-year-old Indian-origin man, Aravind Sasikumar, was found with knife injuries after officers were called to a residential property on Southampton Way, Camberwell, the Metropolitan Police said.

The police in a statement said that the victim died at the scene at 1.31 am on Friday.

A 25-year-old Salman Salim was charged with his murder the following day on Saturday, news agency PTI reported.

He appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on the same day and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on June 20.

A post-mortem examination carried out on Friday confirmed Sasikumar died as a result of stab wounds to the chest, the Evening Standard newspaper added.

Harriet Harman, the MP for Camberwell and Peckham, described the death as a “horrific murder” and passed on her “deepest sympathy to the bereaved family”.
