Security forces have killed two terrorists and recovered weapons in an ongoing operation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
The search continues for other suspects, with authorities intensifying efforts to track them down. Terrorists had earlier seized weapons from five dead police officers. Operations remain underway to locate those responsible.
Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary condemned the cross-border conspiracies, stating, “Conspiracies hatched from across the border are killing our children.” He urged Pakistan to abandon terrorism, emphasising that violence achieves nothing. “They have been killing our children for the last over 30 years and achieved nothing,” Choudhary remarked.
The Deputy Chief Minister expressed hope for an end to militancy, stating, “We hope that good sense will prevail upon them and the sponsored militancy is put to an end. They should understand that J&K and India are not going to become weak by terrorism.”
Choudhary paid tribute to the fallen policemen, emphasising their sacrifice and the unity it has fostered. He noted that the martyrs came from different communities—one Muslim and three Hindus—and stated, “Our brotherhood is strong and nobody can break it whatever the efforts.”
