Counting of votes for assembly election results is underway in five states - Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram. The rupee fell sharply against the US dollar on Tuesday after RBI governor Urjit Patel abruptly announced his resignation on Monday.
