The state government is considering the formation of a religious tourism circuit from Kalaburgi-Bidar, Basava Kalyan to Kudal Sangama and Vijayapura to highlight the significance of Buddha-Basava and Jain and Sufi saints, Tourism and IT/BT Minister Priyank Kharge has said.

"There is scope for tourism in each tiny village. Hence, it should be richly developed," Kharge told reporters here yesterday.

Noting that heli-tourism was very popular now, he said various aspects as to whether government should purchase and manage the helicopter or charter them or hand it over to private persons needs to be considered.

Kharge further said, an amount of Rs 23 crore will be given for Tourism Development Corporation for providing basic facilities to Yatri Niwas at Aihole town.

On the vacancies in Toursim Depatment, he said, action would be initiated to fill up the nearly 800 vacant posts including D Group in the department.
