Joining the likes of 'Terminator: Dark Fate' and 'Doctor Sleep', Elizabeth Banks' 'Charlie's Angels' starrring Kirsten Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska become another sequel which failed to excel at the box office this year.
Mangold's 'Ford v Ferrari', which is based on a true story of how two men helped Henry Ford II and his company to become the first American company to win Le Mans has been garnering a good Oscar buzz as well and now with the staggering box office collections of the film, it has already grabbed everyone's attention.
While Bale and Damon did a good business, globe-trotting spies flick 'Charlie's Angels' managed to mint $8.6 million. Even the overseas collections weren't as great as the film managed to collect $19.3 million and $7.7 million from China which took its total to $27.9 million. Meanwhile, Bill Condon's 'The Good Liar' raked in $5.6 million, Joaquin Pheonix's 'Joker' ended with $1.017 billion by the end of the weekend.
