Delhi Pollution: Air quality remains ‘very poor’ for fourth consecutive day; minimum temperature at 9.8 degrees Celsius

Air quality in Delhi continued to be ‘very poor’ for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday as the national capital witnessed a cold morning. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the Met said.

Humidity level was recorded at 93 per cent at 8:30 am, which is an unfavourable condition for pollutants to disperse.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the sky will remain clear throughout the day.

The average PM2.5 readings at 9 a.m. was recorded at 186 micrograms per cubic metre while the average PM10 readings at the time were 346 micrograms per cubic metre.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 26 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 9.8 degree Celsius, the season's average, while the maximum temperature had settled at 25 degrees Celsius, the season's average.
